These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Claim Mate website, applications, and services (the "Service"). By accessing or using Claim Mate, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Claim Mate
Claim Mate is a software service designed to help sole traders and small businesses record expenses and business travel and generate summary reports. Claim Mate does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.
3. Beta Service Disclaimer
Claim Mate may be provided as a beta or pre‑release service. You acknowledge that:
- Features may change, be incomplete, or be removed
- The Service may contain bugs or inaccuracies
- Availability and performance are not guaranteed
4. No Tax or Legal Advice
Claim Mate provides tools to assist with record‑keeping only. You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of all data entered
- Verifying calculations
- Meeting your tax and reporting obligations
You should seek advice from a qualified accountant or tax professional before lodging any BAS or tax returns.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your login details secure
- Use the Service lawfully
- Not misuse, reverse‑engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service
6. Data Accuracy
Claim Mate relies on user‑provided information and third‑party services. We do not guarantee that expense categorisation, OCR extraction, trip tracking, or reports are error‑free.
7. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid features may require a subscription. Prices, billing cycles, and features may change with notice. Payments are processed by third‑party payment providers.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in Claim Mate, including software, branding, and content, remains the property of Claim Mate.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Claim Mate is not liable for:
- Loss of profits, data, or business
- Tax penalties or incorrect filings
- Indirect or consequential damages
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time.
